On June 16, 2022, we will be permanently closing the Husky BSC bridge. As with all decisions, we do not make this choice lightly, but feel that it will be best for the Husky project as we move forward with our vision.

The Husky BSC Bridge was first implemented to help bring awareness to the Avalanche network, and to the Husky project, by allowing users to move their Husky tokens between Avalanche and the popular BSC network. As Avalanche has grown into a major player in the cryptospace and Husky has evolved from a just a simple token into a multifaceted project, the need for such a bridge no longer exists. With AVAX being available on major exchanges, Binance included, it is simple for users to interact with the Avalanche ecosystem without the need for such a bridge.

The closing of the bridge will allow us to better allocate our time and resources as we focus on developing our eShop platform and furthering development on things such as the Husky Vault, the Husky Incubator, and various NFT collaborations. Furthermore, we have made many fruitful connections with Avalanche ecosystem actors, and we want to focus on developing those relationships into unique collaborations.

There will be ample time for users to move their tokens via the Husky BSC bridge in the coming weeks to ensure that users are satisfied with the final location of their assets.

  • From now until May 15th, the bridge will function as it always has. Users will be able to move tokens from Avalanche to BSC, and from BSC to Avalanche. This functionality will cease on May 15th.
  • From May 15th to June 16th, users will only be able to move tokens from BSC to Avalanche. During this time, there will be no tax on bridge transactions; users will be able to withdrawal their funds without fees.
  • Finally, on June 16th at 23:00 UTC, the Husky BSC Bridge will close permanently.

We want to thank everyone who has utilized the bridge and have discovered our project by bridging their funds from BSC. Cross-chain functionality and collaboration are certainly something we are open to in the future, but for the time being, we want to refocus our efforts on how we can most benefit supporters of the Husky project and those participating in the Avalanche ecosystem. We are building incredible things here at Husky, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

As always, thank you for your continued support!
